Dumbo

Movies are amazing way to pass your time, l personaly love watching movies specially animated movies.

One of my favorites is Dumbo the elephant known for his huge ears. This reminds me of a creature that is actually known as "Dumbo".

Grimpoteuthis is a genus of pelagic citrate octopoda known as Dumbo octopus, the name "Dumbo" comes from the resemblance to a character from Disney's movie Dumbo, having ears like fin. There are 17 species recognised in the genus.

The avarage lifespan of these species is 3 to 5 years. Species of Grimpoteuthis are assumed to have been found worldwide, living in very cold waters, with no sunlight, depths of the ocean 1 to 7 thousand meters, they are also  known as one of the deepest sea octopuses known to humans.

 J
ust like Dumbo the disney character these octopus looks adorable. Their arms are webbed When these Dumbo octopus swims/flots the bottom part that are the tentacles/arms, open up looking like an umbrella. They flap their wings to move from one place to another. Some species have large gills and some have small. They don't have a specific breeding season the female can store sperm for long period of time.

Hovering over the ocean floor they in search of food like worms ,to eat they drop themselves on top of their prey and swallow them whole.

Whoa! Well....not so much alike Disney's Dumbo hua? Cute but dangers.

It becomes super difficult to live, where as humans use fire to keep themselves warm as a surviving skill. What do animals do? The chandelier

Crystal jellyfish Ever heard of a floating chandelier in the very deeps of the ocean? Well..meet  crystal jellyfish. Its scientific name is Aequorea Victoria and it belongs to the Aequoreidae family, which includes more than 25 species. The common name of this jellyfish comes from its gelatinous and almost transparent appearance, similar to Crystal. Crystal jelly jellyfish are found along the west coast of North America, from central California to Vancouver, near Washington and British Columbia. They live both in the deep ocean and offshore. In addition to its transparency, it has hundreds of tentacles of different sizes. Although these appear delicate, they are much more resistant than those of other types of jellyfish. It should be noted that these do not come out of the mouth area, but from the edge of its umbrella. In addition, they are loaded with a venom capable of paralyzing their prey. It uses its sticky tentacles to inject the toxin that paralyzes them. It then uses the st...
